Kate Bergeron

Kate has been a Chicago based instructor and Children’s Theatre Director nationwide. Kate earned her BFA in Musical Theatre at The Theatre Conservatory at the Chicago College of Performing Arts. Kate found her calling early…in kindergarten and has been active in civic and children’s theatre as an actor, instructor and director ever since. She is a member of AEA and SAG and brings her Second City, Improv Playhouse, and Film, TV and Commercial background to her work with young Actors in Los Angeles.  Kate recently appeared as the leading lady in the films Dog Days and The Girl U Want. Kate is also a trained vocalist. She is currently recording her vocal demo and sings with the band Chameleon World.

Joe Jeffrey

Joe’s intensive on-camera audition techniques help actors learn to find their unique qualities and combine them with audition skills. Joe will help you become a TEXT DETECTIVE who will always NAIL THE CALLBACK AND BOOK THE JOB!!! Joe has been seen on The Gilmore Girls and in a recurring role on the NBC soap opera Passions. He has been seen in many commercials, including national spots for K-Mart and Coca-Cola, in addition to many theatrical productions. Having graduated from USF’s film school, Joe brings a film director’s approach to classes.

Showcases

The Actor’s Platform- NOHO

All new monthly showcases for ACTORS who seek higher profile exposure to A – LIST Casting Directors.

At last ~ an “Audition only” showcase that presents a small select group of well prepared Actors of all ages to Film & Television’s A -List CD’s.
Master Acting Coach,DIANE CHRISTIANSEN and associate, JOE JEFFREY have teamed up to bring this all new opportunity to present YOU at your best to our guests, who will then offer feedback and re adjusts to a small group of Actors (8 – 12 scenes) per showcase.

NOT only will you receive valuable feedback, one on one from A-List CD’s, you will also perform well prepared, polished, hand picked, masterfully coached scenes that feature you at your very best and in your “niche”!

Auditions will be held the first Monday of each month from 6:30-9pm. The following two Mondays at 6:30-9pm, students will receive coaching on the scenes they will be performing. The Final Monday  will be the performance for an A-List CD, from 6:30-9pm, TBA before each audition. Once you have completed 6 Actors Platforms you will receive a certificate for one free class with Diane in either NoHo or Santa Monica.

$200.00 for new participants, $175 for any former student, and $150.00 for current students

Agent Quest

Another all new installation at Diane Christiansen Coaching is “audition only” showcase for actors 8 and up AGENT QUEST! A showcase that hosts the industry elite, where you can showcase your best work to the best. 5-10 A list agents have confirmed for each showcase.

The next AGENT QUEST Showcase will be on  Monday March 29th, 2010. Auditions will be held on Monday March 1, 2010.

For the audition you will be required to perform a 2-3 minute scene. The scene may be anything you choose, but be sure it is age appropriate. Please bring a copy for the reader, as well as a headshot and resume for Diane. If you need help finding a scene, please visit the Guidance section of the website.

Actors ages 8 and up must call Diane (818.523.8283) to schedule an audition appointment. The fee, should you be accepted is $150.00

This course will be an ongoing, 8 week class that includes on camera secrets that Diane has found to be most effective for actors seeking to book guest star, co star and series regular roles on TV as well as work in principal roles in Feature Films. We will focus on audition details in a way you may not have looked at them before. We will always include:

The fees and tuition collected for Actors Platform and Agent Quest are non-refundable. If you need to drop out or book a job, your deposit or payment may be held for future showcases at our studios. Remember, we said “no” to someone who auditioned for this and your payment was a commitment to that spot. Acting class payments are only refundable within 7 days. Audits for all classes are available for $20.00- one time only.
