BIZ KIDS is the best acting class for kids ages 6-9 looking to build a solid technical foundation. This beginning acting class will teach students the fundamental skills every actor needs to be successful. Students will learn basic “on-camera,” cold-reading, scene study, and improvisational techniques in an environment that encourages FUN and creativity, while maintaining a level of professionalism standard on any working set.
“Next Generation” with Diane Christiansen and Joe Jeffrey

NEXT GENERATION is the Best Acting class for working child Actors ages 9-12. This audition only professional acting class was designed specifically for actors seeking to book guest star, co-star, and series regular roles on TV as well as work in principal roles in Feature Films. In addition to advanced “on-camera” and scene study techniques, NEXT GENERATION covers the business aspects of the young actor’s career as well. This class includes:

ART OF ACTING is the Best Acting class for first time child actors ages 6 to 9 yrs of age. This beginning acting focuses on building the technical foundation every actor needs to pursue the craft at any level. Students will learn the basics of cold reading, scene study, “on-camera” technique, and improvisation. Above all, students will learn how to have FUN and be creative in a structured environment that mirrors a working set.

NEW GENERATION is the Best Acting class for the Advanced working child actor looking to take their skills to the next level. This advanced acting class focuses on both the business and artistic aspects of acting. Students will learn advanced “on-camera” audition techniques and interview skills to help them get callbacks and book jobs. Students also learn to master the art of cold reading and create more emotionally layered scene work. Instructor approval to join.

REEL ACTORS
Wednesdays 7:30-10:30 pm Ages 18 and up $355.00 for 8 weeksThis is a method based class that will encourage actors of all sensibilities to lace their work with truth- no illusions. Learn to think, behave, and to experience. Emphasis is placed on the distinction between the mental understanding, which the actor usually settles for, and the totality of mental, physical, and emotional experience of which the actor is capable. Come prepared to work on-camera once a month with Award Winning Coach Diane Christiansen, the force behind some of Hollywood’s hottest talent. Be prepared to work out like you’ve never worked before!

REEL TEENZ is the Best Acting class for teenagers who are just beginning their journey as Actors. Students will learn the fundamentals of Acting: basic “on-camera” skills, cold-reading technique, improvisation, and scene study, with an emphasis on developing characters. Most importantly students will learn how to have FUN within a structure that will prepare them for being on set.

MASTER CLASS is the Best Acting class for Teens ages 13 to 18 yrs of age. MASTER CLASS was specifically designed with the young working actor in mind. In this professional level acting class, students will learn advanced scene study and “on-camera” audition techniques that will teach them to get the callback and book the job. This class also focuses on deeper emotional work and incorporates aspects of Method Acting training to create layered characters grounded in truth. MASTER CLASS will take you to the next level in both the business and artistic aspects of the craft. Students must audition for this class with instructor, Diane Christiansen

Joe Jeffrey
Joe’s intensive on-camera audition techniques help actors learn to find their unique qualities and combine them with audition skills. Joe will help you become a TEXT DETECTIVE who will NAIL THE CALLBACK AND BOOK THE JOB!!! Joe has been seen on The Gilmore Girls and in a recurring role on the NBC soap opera Passions. He has been seen in many commercials, including national spots for K-Mart and Coca-Cola, in addition to numerous theatrical productions. Having graduated from USF’s film school, Joe brings a film director’s approach to classes.
Pamela McGee
Pamela’s love of acting began while attending the University of Utah in 1974. After helping start the Salt Lake Acting Company (still in existence today), she moved to Los Angeles. There, she continued to study, while landing, several voice-over and supporting roles. In the late eighties, Pamela married and became a mother, prompting her to re-locate to a mountain community north of Los Angeles to raise her family. There, she discovered a great need for Community Theatre and her gifts and talents would be utilized to help start several Theatrical Groups, one of which she collaborated with Diane on and created the communities very first theatre company The Rainbow Theatre Guild. The last few years she has worked with The Mountain Shakespeare Company, Picket Fence Theater and the Old time Radio Readers, where she acted as well as coached adults and young actors. This experience helped her discover a hidden talent and love of working with children.
Currently, Pamela is developing a children’s education television series through her Production Company, Mizzy McGee Productions and has returned to Los Angeles to work with Diane Christiansen in Santa Clarita & L.A. She also looks forward to offering the joy of acting to children with dyslexia.
