Biography

DIANE CHRISTIANSEN began coaching actors in 1992. This year, she was voted BEST ACTING CLASS FOR KIDS AND TEENS by BACKSTAGE WEST READERS CHOICE AWARDS, and  CHILDREN IN FILM lists her as the “#1 Top Rated Acting Coach in Hollywood” for kids and teens, 3 years running. She was also named “One of the Top 3 Acting Coaches in Hollywood” by the YOUNG PRESIDENTS ORGANIZATION in NYC. The last three years, Diane was voted “One of the Top 10 most effective Coaches in Hollywood” by Actors Access . Recently selected to appear as Acting Coach on Hit Reality TV shows, “FAKING IT” and Danny Bonaduce’s “MY KID’S A STAR” ON VH1.

Her career spans three decades as actress, coach, director and dancer. Most recently Diane was Guest Director at CALARTS and directed the acclaimed ‘PRIVATE WARS” there.

Diane is an instructor with her finger on the pulse of the Entertainment Industry, working very closely with many of LA.’s most acclaimed agents and managers. A graduate of the Strasberg Institute, she was mentored by Academy Award Nominee, Sally Kirkland and the late Joseph Bernard. She has appeared with the Rockettes at  Radio City Music Hall in NYC; danced with Siegfried & Roy in Las Vegas and on  NBC TV specials, she has been  featured on the Merv Griffin Show and hit series “Vegas”. As a TV & Film actress she has worked with Angelina Jolie, Corey Feldman, Adam West, Orson Welles, Stacy Keach, Pia Zadora, Ann Margaret, Jon Voight, Dom DeLouise, Joan Rivers, Robert Urich, Billy Zane & Fred Durst. Actively coaching “working ” actors of all ages, 90% of her student roster booking repeatedly and consistantly. Among them are series regulars on shows such as PUSHING DAISIES, OCTOBER ROAD, WEEDS, PRIVATE PRACTICE, LOST, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, BONES, NIP – TUCK , MY NAME IS EARL, WITHOUT A TRACE,  2 WIZARDS OF WAVERLY PLACE, CORY IN THE HOUSE, ZOEY 101, NED’S DECLASSIFIED, UNFABULOUS, COMPLETE SAVAGES, CHARMED, HOUSE, ALIAS, AMER. Diane is committed to “making a difference” with every actor she coaches and says that passing on this rich tradition has brought even more joy to her life than performing. Diane’s greatest creations are her two children, both are working professionals in the Art & Acting fields.
